Job description

As Quality Control Administrator your role is to provide support to administrate and uphold standards for the quality control team. Reporting directly to the Product Administration Manager and working with the rest of the team.  As a detailed orientated and organized person, in this role you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and comprehensive product information collection by recording and maintaining essential attributes for our vast range of products.  As stock arrives at Pricecheck, you are responsible for quality control recording all attributes of product data onto our systems, understanding if new photography is required and ensuring the stock is returned to the warehouse for storage, all in an efficient and timely manner. Your efforts will directly contribute to efficient inventory management and effective customer interactions.

  •  Ensuring all products entering the warehouse receive a QC process; gathering comprehensive product data and attributes and ensuring these are recorded accurately onto the system.
  • Accurately input and update product information, such as barcodes, descriptions, dimensions, weight, and other relevant attributes into the company’s database and inventory management system.
  • Reviewing products against the system to understand if it requires photography or new updated photos to be taken
  • Producing high quality, commercial photos of newly arriving stock, ensuring image consistency across all categories. This requires the photography and editing of multiple images.
  • As new regulations are introduced, ensuring new attributes are captured as per the managers’ and company requirements.
  • Any products that fail or compromise our QC process, ensuring these are managed through the process.
  • Conduct regular reviews of existing product data to identify discrepancies, errors or missing information and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teams such as Buying and Buying Admin to obtain and raise issues with data collection.
  • Verify the correctness of product images, specifications and other details and ensure they meet company standards before uploading them to the database.
  • Support the team with training of new recruits and development training across the team for a consistent approach.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data quality control procedures to maintain the accuracy and consistency of product information.  Contributing to the improvement of processes and workflows related to product attribute recording and maintenance.
  • Booking In stock for delivery into our Warehouses. Liaising with Suppliers and Buying to assign bookings for incoming POs
  • Provide support to various teams by promptly addressing inquiries related to product attributes and specifications.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required to support the needs of the team and wider company.

Requirements

A Quality Control Administrator will be expected to demonstrate commitment to providing an excellent service to all stakeholders, internal and external. In addition, they must demonstrate the following:

  • Secondary education qualifications or equivalent

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail – confident in recording data accurately and efficiently

  • Previous experience in data entry, product management, or inventory control within wholesale distribution environment is highly desirable.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Confident communicator (written and verbal) – transfer information with clarity with cross-functional teams and asks questions.          

  • Demonstrates adaptability – willing to learn and support where required.

  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and inventory/database systems.

  • An understanding of internal and external factors/ influences

  • Proactive in using initiative; demonstrating a willingness to learn and develop skills to maintain reputation as a department/ company.
